Day One Arrival in Istanbul, assistance and transfer to hotel. Remainder of day at leisure.
Day Two After breakfast, full-day tour of Istanbul. Visit St. Sophia Church, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Covered Bazaar. After lunch, tour Topkapi Palace, world-famous residence of the Ottoman Sultans, and the masterpiece Suleymaniye Mosque. Return to hotel. (B, L)
Day Three Today you will cruise by boat on the Bosphorus, the winding strait separating the continents of Europe and Asia. After lunch, cross the suspension bridge to the Asian side of Istanbul to visit Beylerbeyi Palace and a handicraft center. Following the tour, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Ankara. Day Four Half-day city tour of Ankara’s capital city, including the world- class Anatolian Civilizations Museum and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic. After lunch, drive to Cappadocia via the Salt Lake with a stop at the Agizkarahan Caravanserail en route. (B, L, D) Day Five Full day of touring in the Cappadocia region, known for its
surrealistic landscapes and carved rock cities and churches; includes the Goreme and Zelve valleys and the villages of

Day Six Today you explore the underground city of Kaymakli, established by 7th-century Christians fleeing persecution.
Return to Ankara for your flight back to Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. (B, L)
